Four front-access AGM monoblocs from 55 Ah to 190 Ah — engineered for 19-inch rack cabinets and ETSI racks
The HGUF family is the answer to a specific problem: a 12 V battery you can install, inspect and replace from the front of a 19-inch or ETSI rack without removing the rack from the cabinet. Four capacity steps from 55 Ah to 190 Ah, all with M6 threaded female terminals on the front face of the cell, all on a flame-retardant ABS case, all designed for the same float profile as the rest of the HGU platform. If you maintain a fleet of telecom power plants, FTTx nodes or edge-IT cabinets, HGUF turns battery swap from a back-room job into a 30-minute rack-front job.
HGUF is the front-terminal branch of the HGU 12 V monobloc family. Every model carries the positive and negative terminals on the front face of the cell, as M6 threaded female inserts that accept a standard ring lug. The case width is held to the standard 19-inch rack module (about 440 mm including rack ears) so a string of HGUF cells slides into a 19-inch rack frame exactly like a power supply. The internal chemistry is the same AGM VRLA recipe used across the HGU platform, so float voltage, equalise ceiling and self-discharge rate are identical to those of HGU-12V.
4 capacity steps: 55 Ah, 100 Ah, 150 Ah, 190 Ah (C10 rate, 1.80 V/cell end voltage)
Front-mounted M6 threaded terminals for ring lugs
19-inch rack footprint, ~440 mm cabinet width including rack ears
AGM VRLA chemistry, sealed, maintenance-free
Float design life 12 years at 25 °C
Compatible with battery-monitoring shunts and probes
HGUF was designed specifically for sites where the rack is the cabinet:
Telecom central-office DC plants (48 V nominal)
Outdoor base-station cabinets (BTS, Node-B, eNB)
FTTx optical-line terminals (OLT) and street cabinets
Edge data-centre micro-rooms and IT closets
Railway signalling, motorway control and roadside ITS cabinets
Power-utility substation SCADA and protection cabinets
Install a fresh string without pulling the rack out of the cabinet
Inspect torque on every terminal without removing cables from the front
Replace a single failed cell from the front while the rest of the string stays online
No need for rear-cabinet clearance — typical depth-saving of 200 mm
Cells drop into any standard 19-inch or ETSI rack frame
Common rack ear pitch and M6 cage-nut hardware
Uniform battery-cabinet layout across your estate
AGM separator tolerates the slow convection found in closed cabinets
Front-facing pressure-relief valve vents safely into the cabinet aisle
Compatible with the most common battery-monitoring probes and shunt harnesses
AGM VRLA chemistry — sealed, maintenance-free

HG upsboss is the export brand of Shenzhen Shengpuwei Industrial Co., Ltd., a battery and UPS-systems manufacturer based in Shenzhen, China. We design, build and export VRLA, GEL, lead-carbon and LiFePO4 backup batteries for UPS, EPS, telecom, data-centre and renewable-storage operators in more than 60 countries. Every HGU-series battery ships with type-test reports, full BMS integration where applicable, and the CE / UL / IEC documentation you need for customs clearance and end-user acceptance.
All product specifications, images and documentation published on this page are the property of HG upsboss / Shenzhen Shengpuwei Industrial Co., Ltd. and are intended for legitimate procurement, engineering and integration use. Reproduction for counterfeit, misbranding or unauthorised resale is prohibited. Specification values are typical at 25 °C and may vary within published tolerances. Battery installations must comply with local electrical, ventilation and transport regulations.
M6 threaded female terminals accept a standard ring lug with a hole for an M6 bolt. This is the dominant telecom-cabinet convention because it allows high-torque termination, prevents accidental reverse polarity, and is compatible with the common battery-monitoring shunt harnesses used in 48 V telecom plants.
Yes — like every HGU monobloc, HGUF is sealed VRLA AGM and tolerates any orientation. For 19-inch rack duty, however, the upright orientation is strongly preferred because it keeps the front-mounted pressure-relief valve facing away from adjacent equipment.
HGUF is a 12 V front-terminal monobloc optimised for 10-hour capacity in cabinet duty (telecom, edge IT). HGUX is a 12 V top-terminal monobloc optimised for high-rate (5-minute, 15-minute) UPS discharge. Pick HGUF for float-duty telecom, pick HGUX for UPS ride-through.
Yes — HGUF cells are factory-matched for voltage and internal resistance and can be paralleled for higher Ah capacity within a cabinet. Always keep cable lengths identical on parallel strings to ensure even current sharing.
Standard HGUF cells are supplied with rack-mount ears suitable for the 19-inch pitch. For ETSI (21-inch) cabinets, we can supply ETSI rack ears as an option. Confirm the rack-pitch at order entry.
HGUF is sealed VRLA and will operate from -20 °C to +45 °C. For direct outdoor exposure to sun, rain and salt spray, we recommend fitting the cells inside a climate-controlled outdoor cabinet and considering the HGUG tubular GEL family for harsher thermal cycling.
Float design life at 25 °C is 12 years. End-of-life is typically defined as 80 % of rated capacity. Real-world life depends on ambient temperature, depth of discharge during grid events, and float-voltage accuracy — every 8 °C rise above 25 °C roughly halves the life.
Yes, in most cases. HGUF uses industry-standard 12 V monobloc footprints and front-access terminals. We recommend a site survey to confirm cabinet depth, rack pitch and terminal clearance before placing a retrofit order.
